How we counted
Index membership: STOXX public DAX selection list of 5 October 2026 (column "Index Membership"). The next regular review takes effect in December 2026.Registered seat (Sitz): GLEIF legal address, checked against the register court. Where the legal address is in a different state from the register court, the court location is the seat (Scout24, AUTO1, Fresenius Medical Care).Headquarters (hqCity) is shown only where GLEIF's headquarters address lies in a different place from the seat. byHeadquarters counts use the headquarters address where given, otherwise the seat.Berlin: Zalando (Friedrichshain) and Delivery Hero (Mitte) are in the former East of the city; the Berlin offices of Scout24 (Moabit) and AUTO1 (Kreuzberg) are in the former West, but both companies are registered in Munich.Coordinates are those of the seat town or Berlin district (Wikidata P625), not of the building.
By headquarters instead of registered seat the 90 companies split: West 81, East 1, West Berlin 2, East Berlin 2, abroad 4.
